The Results sidebar is used to display the results of several Spider Writer operations. Namely, the results are for the Syntax Checker and Thumbnail Viewer commands. See the following sections for help on using each type of results.
The Syntax Checker command is used to check the HTML syntax of your documents. This feature makes use of HTML Tidy as its syntax engine. When syntax is checked, the results are displayed in a list in the Syntax Checker tab of the sidebar. Each item in the list indicates a suggestion, warning, or fatal error with the check. Document positions are given for where the item was found in the document. A brief description of each item also is displayed in the list.
The Thumbnail Viewer is used to display a list of image thumbnails for a specific folder. When you first execute the Thumbnail Viewer command, thumbnails are loaded for the current directory in the Local Files sidebar. The bottom of the sidebar displays the path of the images that is loaded and how many images are loaded. You can hover the mouse over an image to see its name, dimensions, and file size. You can also double-click on an image to insert it into the current document.
The Insert Into Document command inserts the selected image into the current document.
The Edit Image command edits the selected image in its default application.
The Properties command opens the properties window for the selected image.
The Browse to a Folder command allows you to browse for a directory from which to load images.
The Load from Local Files Sidebar Folder command loads the image list from
the current directory in the
Local Files sidebar.
The Refresh command refreshes the image list.
